I have to admit that I had no idea I would be given this movie 3 and a half stars out of 5 when I started watching it. The big negative I thought it had was WWE Studios was involved. I figured a lot of useless jump scares and a story that went nowhere was what I was about to see. Was I wrong about that. The script turned out to be solid and the story more than engaging. It kept me watching from the first minute to the last. I especially liked the last half of it when the story kept switching from current to past events without slowing down the pace. This also helped to add to the disorienting effect of the movie, which played perfectly into the theme that ran throughout it.

This was a very pleasant surprise for me. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t a flawless movie or an Oscar contender, but if you want to watch a movie with a good story that is at times creepy swing on over to Netflix today. It is streaming on their right now.

So, have you seen Oculus? What did you think?
