Liebster Blogger Award

Cathie at has nominated me for this award and I am honored to try to take a crack at the question she presented to me.

Here’s the question: Do you have a quote or motto that is meaningful to you in some way, or by which you lead your life? If so, can you tell us what it is and why?

First – let’s get biblical for a second.

Mathew 6:34 has been a go to for inspiration for me.

Holman Christian Standard BibleTherefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I am not a great Christian (who is), but I try to be. I found this quote some years back and it just sang to me. It (to me anyways) just reminds me to deal with one day at a time. Tomorrow is tomorrow and today is today. Spend your current time trying to enjoy it as much as you can.

Second – Jimmy Buffett

The song “No Plane on Sunday” speaks volumes to me. It’s all about making the best of a bad situation by not getting too strung out about things that are out of our control. So, if I get in a long line at the store or face countless rejection letters I just let this song ring in my ears. No use getting upset. Just roll with it and move on.

I want to nominate Laura, Kim, and Sherry for this award. All three of them have been a great supporter of mine and each of them have been such a positive force in my life that I wrote three character roles for them in my short story Need to Feed. It is a small way to honor each of them, but I thought it was the best way to do it. So, Laura, Kim, and Sherry. Here are your two questions.

Why do you love to read?

What is your favorite book?

  1. Congratulations on your award and thanks so much for nominating me. I accept and will get working on my answers. Great questions, Anthony. And I loved being a character in your book. I hope that I’m a bad ass in real life when they come to my town. LOL
