Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the man of steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by Lex Luthor. It’s up to Superman and Batman to set aside their differences along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis. I went into this movie hoping for great, but I tried not to psyche myself up too much for it. It had a new Batman and he was going up against Superman. There were worlds colliding and I just didn’t think they could pull it off. For the first thirty minutes or so I thought I was right. It kept switching between Gotham and Metropolis. Not really knowing what city to stay in. It felt like they were trying to run parallel stories until they managed to put Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent in the same place together. Then it all started to congeal. I was on board from the opening scenes, but once those two super powers came together I sat back and enjoyed the ride. They did a lot of great things in this movie, score, sets, costumes, and the new Batmobile and Bat Plane are just spectacular. Superman’s new suit looked great. It all just worked better than expected. My only real beef was with the closing shot (if you’ve seen it you know what it is). That kind of made the last ten minutes or so seem like it wasn’t needed. They could have just skipped it and been just fine. A minor beef to a fabulous movie. Ben was great as Batman, and I hope they get him back for a stand alone film. Batman kind of gets lost when super beings are fighting one another. Also, Wonder Woman was great (her song was great). I’m looking forward to seeing her in a stand alone. Jessie also did a great job as Lex. Kind of nice to see a villain portrayed a little less serious.

I was in a Batman mood, so I strolled through Netflix and found this one. Not the best of the animated movies featuring The Dark Knight, but it did have a lot of good things going for it. It is entertaining and moves fast. Check it out if you have NETFLIX.
That’s it. Have you seen any of these movies? Let me know what you thought of them.
