Saw “Silence” last night

It was a gripping drama

From start to finish

I did get around to seeing the latest Martin Scorsese picture, and have to say he has another great movie added to his resume. I do feel a bit like the movie was lacking just a notch though. I’m not sure Andrew Garfield was the right man for the lead role even though he did an incredible job in his portrayal of a priest in peril. I don’t think it is his acting that is the issue, it is just that I can see others that would fit the role better. All in all, this was a great movie to sit through and the 2 hour and 41 minute run time isn’t an issue. Even as tired as I was the movie never dragged or lagged for me. It had a great score, solid acting, and a strong story. I’m not sure how Oscar will feel about it, but it gave me pause for thought when I put my head down to pray last night.

So, have you seen Silence? Your thoughts on it please.

In case you were wondering, I gave the movie 3 and a half stars out of 5.
