Tales from the Blog (10/22/2017): Demon Energy 4

The man was placed on another bed that was covered in hospital white (sheets, pillowcases, and blankets all the same bland color).

The man lay there a moment, as chains were fastened to the floor so his legs and arms couldn’t move. The bindings were not tight, didn’t hold him down in a painful way. He could at least move enough for a simple scratch or a simple stretch.

Then he felt them, the demons rising up again. The force of a thousand angry creatures rushing through his limbs. He shook violently, and slammed up and down, up and down, testing the springs of the mattress, testing the limits of his now tired body, testing the limits of the chains. Muscles screamed in agony, saliva flew from his mouth, sweat lit up his body, his face contorted in pain.

The men and women in the cave scattered, as the chains ripped free, broke from their metal hold. The man tried to rise. He felt hands upon him again. The man was strong though, fueled by DEMON ENERGY. He started to win. The brave souls who dared to touch the man, to try and hold him down, their hands burned as they held him in place.

New chains arrived, blessed chains dipped and bathed in holy water. They wrapped the man up, pinned him to the bed. These chains burned his flesh, as the demons inside him screamed out loud –“We are legion! Curse you and your homes!” –and then fell back to quiet.

The man felt his timid soul return from the depths of wherever it went to hide during these violent uprisings. The chains no longer burned, but they were much tighter now. He had no choice but to lay there and endure.

He asked for some water, and it was brought to him. It cooled his parched throat, washed away the bile and blood still lingering there from this recent attack. He tried to relax, tried to figure out what to do about this situation he found himself in . . . to be continued next Sunday at 6 A.M. Did you miss a post? Cool Posters Thursday (10/19/2017): Iron Maiden

Big Iron Maiden fan.

I thought maybe this week we should put Eddie in the spotlight.

Here is the song that got me into them.

Now, onto the posters.

So, A, B, or C, which is the one for thee?

All three of them are really sharp. A. jumped off at me right away, but I have always loved that Trooper poster. I think my vote has to go with C. Great song. Great poster.

Wednesday Quotes (10/18/2017): Famous Words from Famous Writers – Bram Stoker

“With a mocking smile, he placed one hand upon my shoulder and, holding me tight, bared my throat with the other, saying as he did so: “First, a little refreshment to reward my exertions.”
